General Use & System Behavior
SpotWalla makes a concerted effort to be a good steward of the resources used on your behalf. This includes, but is not limited to, the message interfaces for SPOT devices.
A dormant device has an active message interface which hasn't produced a new message for six or more months. SpotWalla will automatically disable a dormant device and notify the user via email. Users must activate a dormant device by logging into SpotWalla and updating the device's status to Active.
Devices with an invalid message interface, or an interface that produces a known exception indicating an invalid message interface, will be disabled automatically. An email will be sent to the user detailing the device, the exception that occurred and what must be done to fix the problem.
SpotWalla uses SendGrid.com to send emails to its users. SendGrid helps ensure emails are reaching the intended recipients. SendGrid also adds tracking information to emails to help SpotWalla understand how emails are being treated. These statistics include, but are not limited to, how many emails are opened, how many links were clicked and how many emails are marked as spam.
SpotWalla does not SPAM its users. Generally, emails are sent at the user's request. For instance, forgotten password emails. SpotWalla also sends email to users to notify them of issues related to their account. For instance, a device with a faulty message interface.
